The awards include:

• Borsos Award for Best Actor and Actress
• Best World Documentary Award ($2,500 cash prize)

• Best Mountain Culture Film Award presented by Whistler Blackcomb ($1,000 cash prize)
• Best BC Student Short Film Award ($500 cash prize)
• People's Choice Award for Best Feature (non-cash award)

The five-day Whistler Film Festival also features lively festival celebrations, tributes to distinguished filmmakers, a free outdoor screening and the annual Celebrity Challenge ski race.

Dedicated to celebrating, promoting and developing a strong film industry in Western Canada, and to showcasing the best films from Canada and around the world, this premier event also features innovative industry programming through a comprehensive business and creative forum for film, television and new media that takes place alongside the Festival and provides a full range of professional development, market and networking opportunities for filmmakers.

The Whistler Film Festival Society (WFFS) offers two main programs: the Whistler Film Festival - Whistler's annual celebration of film, and the Whistler Summit - Western Canada's premier industry forum.

Festival tickets and packages can be bought through the online Box Office at http://whistlerfilmfestival.com which opens at the beginning of November, or at the Whistler Box Office which opens in mid-November or at the theaters themselves during the Festival up to an hour before showtimes.
