The Red River Exhibition, also known as Ex for short, is the largest annual fair in Manitoba, attracting an average of 200,000 visitors over 10 days. One of Winnipeg’s most popular annual events, the Red River Exhibition offers something for everyone, from thrill rides and games, a human cannonball, high-wire aerialists and a street circus, and a midway, to food vendors, music and comedy performances, contests, competitions, and more.

Animal favorites are also a favorite part of the Red River Exhibition, from the hands on fun at the petting zoo to the less touchable but nevertheless exciting alligators, tortoises, giant lizards and dinosaur skulls in the reptile show. Kangaroos and wallabies are abundant in the Aussie Kingdom.

Great fun for children of all ages and their families, a wide selection of outdoor entertainment at the Red River Exhibition features a selection of child-friendly entertainment on the new outdoor stage including Splash & Boots, Dora the Explorer, Doo Doo the Clown, Freddy Fusion, and Penelope the Clown.

Roving clowns, jugglers and unicyclists entertain the crowds all over the venue.

New family attractions include the Prairie Town Adventure that showcases the basis of good, prairie town living and invites children and their families to participate in a series of fun, interactive activities such as wall building, egg gathering and even basic firefighter training. There is also a mock Farmers Market’ where children can ‘sell’ their produce.
One of the highlights of the Red River Exhibition is the exciting fireworks display that takes place on June 17th at 11pm.

The entire family focused event is held at Red River Exhibition Park located on the west side of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Opening hours are 3pm to midnight on Monday through Thursday, and 12pm to midnight on Friday through Sunday.

Winnipeg Transit provides extensive service to and from Exhibition Park. Buses leave Market and Main (beside the Concert Hall) and operate south on Main and west on Portage to Exhibition Park making limited stops along Portage.
