Highland Games Festival

A popular event for 30 years, the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival celebrates Scottish culture with games showcasing the skills of those expert in piping and drumming, highland dancing and traditional athletics and celebrations offering entertainment and workshops.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful grounds of Old Government House, residence of New Brunswick's Lieutenant Governor, the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival is one of the largest events of its kind in Atlantic Canada. It is also listed as one of New Brunswick's "Top Festivals".

Attracting hundreds of competitors and performers from across Atlantic Canada, Ontario and the Eastern seaboard, and drawing more than 8,000 visitors each year, the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival has twice been named an Attractions Canada Award Winner, including Best Provincial Sporting Event.

Tickets are available at the gates and general admission includes all activities within the festival except the Whisky Tasting and Beer Tasting Workshops which require a separate ticket. The cost for the Whisky Tasting Workshop is $25 and $10 for the Beer Tasting Workshop.

Family passes range from $30 to $80 for the whole weekend, with other options from $5 to $18.
