Fredericton, New Brunswick (NB)

The main attractions of the Winterfesthiver festivities are the Gigantic Ice Slides and the SnowMazing Labyrinth as well as displays of snow sculptures, pony rides, horse drawn sleigh rides and polar bear games of bowling, curling and golf.

The Atlantic Superstore Gigantic Ice Slides made out of huge mountains of iced snow are the highlight of the Winterfesthiver festival. Visitors come from far and wide to try their luck on the seven meter high structures.

Also made out of the snow is the CAA SnowMazing Labyrinth measuring 40 by 40 meters complete with 2 meter high walls to stop anyone cheating, providing hours of fun for families.

Golf enthusiasts, who, as we all know, are happy to play in all weathers, can try their hand at the 6 fun-filled golf holes of the Enbridge Gas Polar Bear Golf course.

And for something less hectic, the Bank of Montreal (BMO) Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides provide a welcome respite from all the activities. As do the performances on stage of drumming and dancing.

For the children who might still have energy to spare, there are pony rides and even a petting zoo showcasing lambs, goats, pigs, rabbits, and even llamas.

Another one of the highlights of the Winterfesthiver festival are the snow sculptures created by professional carvers and sculptors out of solid blocks of snow.

The Winter WILDlife tent offers a starting point for all round fun like snowshoe relay races, and nature walks to discover the local wildlife.

Benefitting children in need, the Isaac's Way Silent Art Auction offers visitors the chance to place their silent auction bids for the work of a dozen artists who make Winterfesthiver their studio for the weekend.
