Canadian Western Agribition

late November
Regina, Saskatchewan (SK)

Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) is the best beef show on the continent and the largest livestock show in Canada. The show is anchored by beef cattle and features horses, bison, sheep, goats, and an extensive agribusiness trade show. CWA is a blend of agriculture, First Nations, and festive entertainment, featuring live music, shopping and food.

CWA showcases world class beef genetics and offers the unique opportunity to view 12 breeds and over 2,000 head of cattle in one location. Attractions at the event also include draft horse events, prospect calf show, horse pull competition, Cowboy Mounted Shooting, Select Ranch Horse Competition and Sale, the International Stock Dog Championship, Jousting, Family Ag Pavilion, First Nations Pavilion, and the Agri-Ed Showcase.

The Canadian Western Agribition also features more than 200,000 square feet of trade show exhibits including everything from agricultural products and services to kitchenware, clothing, and western arts and crafts.

Attracting more than 125,000 people to the show, including over 800 international guests from over 65 countries, CWA is consistently regarded as the best and most sought after agricultural marketplace in the world.

Also unique to Agribition is the RBC Beef Supreme Challenge, a unique purebred beef event in which the Grand and Supreme Champions from several of North America’s top livestock shows compete in one show ring for the coveted title of Canadian Western Agribition Supreme Champion.

With the aim of teaching children all about agriculture, the “hands-on”, interactive Agri-Ed Showcase attracts more than 10,000 children each year, and offers an up-close view of a wide range of activities from taking part in an auction to watching chicks hatch. For the older children, the 4-H and Youth Activities program teaches high-school students about agriculture.

In 2007, CWA was voted one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the America Bus Association. It also earned the title of ‘Event of the Year’ at the Saskatchewan Tourism Awards of Excellence.

This event takes place at Evraz Place, a facility covering 102 acres and offering over 1 million square feet of indoor space. Evraz Place is the second largest such facility in Canada.
