Craven, Saskatchewan (SK)

Billed as the World's Greatest Country Music Festival, the Craven Country Jamboree is the longest running multi-day music festival in Canada attracting more than 24,000 visitors each day from all over the world.

Just some of the greatest country music stars appearing at the Craven Country Jamboree have been Garth Brooks, Kenny Rogers, John Denver, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Clint Black, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, George Strait, and Kenny Chesney.

One of the many popular attractions of the Craven Country Jamboree is Main Street, an old-west style thoroughfare with beer gardens where local bands provide entertainment and music for dancing, country food vendors and stores packed with festival merchandise.

Other attractions include Bulls at Breakfast, the Songwriter Circle, in which talented song writers explain how to create that elusive hit, an authentic non-denominational Cowboy Church Service on Sunday at noon, Karaoke, and pro-bull-riding demonstrations.

The Craven Country Jamboree is held near the picturesque town of Craven in the heart of the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley, just 20 minutes outside Regina.

The music festival has campsites in the valley for over 8,500 campers but a valid weekend pass is necessary in order to purchase a General Camping pass. Reserved sites are available, but only from the Craven Country Jamboree office at 757-0007 or toll free at 1-866-388-0007. Proof of purchase of two weekend passes is necessary before applying for reserved camping sites.

Part of the fun of the camping aspect of the the Craven Country Jamboree is the search for the Best Decorated Campsite complete with great prizes.
