Western Canada’s longest running music festival, the Regina Folk Festival attracts more than 20,000 visitors each year and is one of Canada's most established music organizations.







First held in 1969, the Regina Folk Festival moved to its current home in beautiful, historic Victoria Park in the heart of downtown Regina and now also offers free daytime concerts and workshops on 4 stages, a Children’s Area with music, dance and crafts, an Artists’ Market with the handmade work of up to 50 artisans and crafters, the festival Rock Garden, a festival record store and an international food court.

Featured at the Regina Folk Festival artists include the likes of KD Lang and The Siss BoomBang, Taj Mahal, Andrew Bird, Hawksley Workman, Coeur de pirate, Dan Mangan, Fred Penner, The Sojourners, Marco Calliari, Aurelio Martinez, Etran Finatawa, Shakura S’Aida, Jeffery Straker, Cris Derksen, Shotgun Jimmie, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, Calexico, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Aurelio Martinez, Sarah Harmer, Arrested Development, Broken Social Scene, Iron & Wine, Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Weakerthans, Corb Lund, Suzanne Vega, The Wailers, Bedouin Soundclash, Jully Black, Kathleen Edwards, Ramblin Jack Elliott, Final Fantasy and Great Lake Swimmers.

But the Regina Folk Festival is not just about the famous and popular, but also has to do with discovering new artists from around the world, and from places as far away as Honduras and Africa.

The Regina Guild of Folk Arts, responsible for the Regina Folk Festival also presents year round music performances in the Regina Folk Festival Concert Series.
