HandHills Stampede

Williams Lake Stampede

Top Events Canada RodeosEstablished in 1920, and now one of the country’s biggest rodeos, visitors come from all over to see the Williams Lake Stampede. They come to witness the thrills and spills of Bareback Riding events, the fun and laughter of the Barrel Racing and the cowboy's full repertoire of skills displayed in the Bull Riding, Tie Down Roping, Cutting Horse and Mountain Race events. Besides all this, there are Pony Chariot Races, Wild Horse Races, Pony Chuckwagon, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping and Top Dog events.

Ponoka Stampede

Top Events Canada RodeosRecognized as one of the world’s top 10 rodeos by the Toronto Sun, the Ponoka Stampede in Alberta is Canada’s largest six-day rodeo and offers everything from top-class competitions in steer wrestling, bull riding, barrel racing, professional chuck wagon races and kids’ wild pony races. Canadian Rockies International Rodeo

Top Events Canada RodeosClassed as one of Canada’s largest gay rodeos, the three-day, Canadian Rockies International Rodeo (CRIR), sanctioned by the International Gay Rodeo Association (IGRA), is an unique three-day rodeo complete with a host of traditional events including bull riding and calf roping, as well as popular ”camp” events, such as goat dressing and wild drag. Unique to this event is the fact that men and women compete in parallel events. The Canadian Rockies International Rodeo also offers a cabaret, live music, olde tyme country carnival, nightly dances and a Saturday parade.

Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition

Top Events Canada RodeosKnown as the “Big M”, the 4-day Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition in Morris, Manitoba, the province known as the capital of Canadian rodeo, is the only rodeo in Manitoba that features on the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association circuit. This 10-day agricultural fair and rodeo held every July in Calgary is one of the biggest events in the Canadian calendar and attracts more than two million visitors and offers more than $2-million in prizes drawing top competitors from across Canada, the USA and around the world. Often referred to as the “Woodstock of Rodeo” the ever popular Festival Western de Saint-Tite attracts more than 450,000 visitors and some of North America’s top athletes to the village of Saint-Tite for 10 days each year.
